From being bullied to empowering others

In the span of five years, I moved up the corporate ladder from Claims Manager in an insurance company (earning a measly RM3,500) to Head of Legal in an established corporation (earning an annual six figure income). But above all, I went from being bullied to empowering others. Was this sheer luck or resolve? You decide. Here’s my story: 

Not feeling good enough

I starkly remember at the age of 30 where I felt I was not good enough and unworthy of everything I had. Why did I feel this way? For me, I was just not where I’d imagined myself to be – I was not making enough money and it depressed me that I could not contribute as much to my household as my husband did. 

Stuck in a rut at work

At that time, my salary was not reflective of my workload, experience or even my qualifications. My boss was biased towards certain colleagues in the office and my work was neither recognized nor appreciated. It was such a toxic work environment, I finally quit without having a job lined up, and this spurred more criticism and my confidence spiralled downwards.

Finding “The Secret”

I was honestly at the lowest point in my life. I felt really powerless. And for a long while, I was struggling to resolve my self-esteem issues. It was not until the day I got hold of the book entitled “The Secret” that my transformational journey began. It quickly became a bible to me and I diligently imbibed all its teachings into my life. It was and still is the secret to my success and the wealth I have reaped today.

Although many may have read the book, very few have realized its secret. This is because it’s not easy to apply the principles embedded in it. There is a methodology involved and it needs to be followed precisely with discipline.

Fortunately for me, I had the continuous support and encouragement of my husband, which, together with my own in-depth research on success, have made me unstoppable today.
